Mr. Rajpal Thakur, learned Additional Advocate General and Mrs. Kiran Dhiman, learned Counsel, accept notice on behalf of respondent No. 1 and respondents No. 2 to 4, respectively. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that he is not being relieved to enable him to join the station, to which, he stands transferred in terms of Annexure P-1, rather the relieving order has been cancelled in terms of Annexure P-3. 3. Learned Counsel for the Corporation, on instructions, informs the Court that transfer is vice versa and in light of the ban that stands imposed on the transfers in the State on account of 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:14532 ensuing Panchayati Raj elections, relieving order of the petitioner was cancelled and the transfer order will be given effect to once the ban on the transfers is lifted. She further submitted that the officer, who has been transferred in the place of the petitioner, has also not been relieved. 4. In light of the instructions imparted by learned Counsel for the Corporation, this petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents that immediately after lifting of the ban on transfers imposed in lieu of forthcoming Panchayati Raj elections, the petitioner and his counterpart shall be relieved within one week to enable them to join their respective stations. It is further ordered that the transfer order be not cancelled in the meanwhile.
