This petition seeks modification of the condition in paragraph 9 of order dated 30.07.2026 requiring the convict to report before the Inspector of Police, Thamaraikulam Police Station, Kanniyakumari, every day at 10.30 a.m. during the leave of 28 days granted to him. 2. Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), who accepts notice for the respondents, has instructions to report that the petitioner is so far complying with the conditions imposed by this Court. 3. The reason for seeking modification is that the mother of the convict is undergoing treatment in Karuppukatti, Tirunelveli and the convict is finding it difficult to meet the additional cost for travelling from Karuppukatti, Tirunelveli to Thamaraikulam, Kanniyakumari every day, to comply with the above direction. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WPMP Crl. Since the convict’s mother is undergoing treatment at Karuppukatti, Tirunelveli, Mr.Malarvannan suggests that the convict may be directed to report at the nearest police station, which is Moondradaippu Police Station, Tirunelveli.Learned counsel for the petitioner finds the suggestion acceptable. 5. Hence, paragraph 9 of order dated 30.07.2026 shall now read as follows:- ‘The convict shall be released on 01.08.2026 at 10.00 am and is directed to surrender before the Superintendent of Prison, Central Prison, Coimbatore, on 29.08.2026 before 10:00 am. The convict shall appear before the Inspector of Police, Moondradaippu Police Station, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District, every day at 10:30 am during the period of leave and shall be abide by all the conditions prescribed in the Jail Manual’ 6. The writ miscellaneous petition is ordered, modifying order dated 30.07.2026 only to the extent indicated above. (A.S.M.,J.)
