When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent police submitted that the investigation has been completed and the first respondent police are in the process of filing the final report. 3. In reply thereto, the learned counsel for the petitioners pointed to the post-mortem report and submitted that, even as per the report, no external injuries were found on the body of the deceased. It is contended that there is absolutely no ground in this case to file a final report indicating the commission of any offence. 4. Be that as it may, since it is stated that the first respondent police is in the process of filing the final report, all the grounds raised by the petitioners are kept https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 21567 of 2026 open. As and when a copy of the final report, if any, implicating the petitioners in any offence is filed, it will be open for the petitioners to raise these grounds at the appropriate stage.
