Prabakaran, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondent. 2. The petitioner submitted an application under Section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, seeking certain information. In response, the respondent, by proceedings dated 06.04.2026, directed the petitioner to inspect the records available in the respondent’s office. 3. The petitioner states that, despite the said direction, he was not permitted to inspect the records. 4. The learned State Counsel, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner had visited the respondent’s office on three occasions. However, on all three occasions, the petitioner did not identify the specific records that he wished to inspect. It is further submitted that, if the petitioner visits the office again, he would be permitted to inspect the records in accordance with law. 5. In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with permission to the petitioner to visit the respondent’s office on 20.08.2026 at 3.00 p.m. On such visit, the respondent shall permit the petitioner to inspect the records specified in the proceedings dated 06.04.2026. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.32847 of 2026 Page Nos.3/4 6. It is made clear that no further opportunity shall be granted to the petitioner to visit the respondent’s office for the purpose of inspecting the said records.
