On an earlier occasion, though this Court not admitted the appeal, it had granted some protection order to the appellant by order dated 04.06.2026. Thereafter, the matter is listed before this Court. 2.An appeal against an order passed in the civil suit by the TNPID Court would lie only by way of a Civil Miscellaneous Appeal before this Court and not by way of a criminal appeal. 3.In view of the same, Registry is directed to return the appeal papers to the appellant and the appellant to file a Civil Miscellaneous Appeal before this Court. The period from the date of filing of the petition till its return shall be excluded while calculating the limitation period. 4.Accordingly, the Criminal Appeal is closed.
