ORDER The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.07.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 4(1)(A) r/w 4 (1-A) (ii) of TNP ( The Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act )in Cr.No.404 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 90 ml of 960 Directors Club Bottles, 180 ml of 1056 Directors club bottles and 110 litres of pondy poison arrack. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been incarcerated since
23.07.2026. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent Police reiterated the prosecution case and produced the Detention
Order dated 17.08.2026 by which it is brought to the notice of this court that the petitioner has been slapped with the Detention Order under the Preventive Detention Act (Act 14 of 1982).
