Shafy, learned counsel for respondent No.2- Waqf Board. Hon’ble Pankaj Purohit, J. (through V.C.) By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has challenged the impugned Office Memorandum No.1028/U.W. Board/Waqf No.-448 Udham Singh Nagar/2025-26 dated 10.02.2026 (Annexure No.1 to the writ petition) passed by respondent No.2-Uttarakhand Waqf Board, whereby, a dead person namely Sh. Shahid S/o Sh. Lal Mohammad, has been inducted as a Member to the Management Committee of the Waqf No.448 Majar Bhullan Shah Katoratal, Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar. 2. Learned counsel for petitioner has submitted that the death certificate of the Member Sh. Shahid S/o Sh. Lal Mohammad is annexed as Annexure No.4 to the writ petition (Pg. No.16), which has been issued by the Registrar Birth-Death, Nagar Nigam Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar. 2026:UHC:4097 2 3. Per contra, learned senior counsel for respondent No.2 submitted that the process of constitution of committee was started earlier, though the order impugned has been passed on 10.02.2026 and in the intervening period, member Sh. Shahid S/o Sh. Lal Mohammad could have died. 4. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of. Respondent No.2-Uttarakhand Waqf Board is directed to correct the said mistake after verifying the aforesaid fact. 5. Pending application, if any, stands disposed of accordingly.
