Mr. Nirupam Dhali …for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the dispute is purely civil in nature. The brother of the petitioner was granted bail. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He submits that the petitioner had been absconding since the registration of the FIR in February, 2024. He is the principal accused in this case. He forged a power of attorney in his favour and thereafter sold properties to his own brother and to others. He also brought another person to impersonate the owner of the properties. 2 Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
