Sandhawalia, Chief Justice (Oral) The prayer mainly in the present petition is that the schools affiliated to CBSE may also be opened in the backward/hard/difficult/tribal/ rural areas so that the residents of such areas can also have the benefit of education from such schools. Reference is also made to the notification 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 dated 19.01.2026, vide which a scheme, i.e, “A Scheme for CBSE Affiliated Schools of Excellence” is formulated by the State. In this context, counsel has also pointed out that a representation has also been filed dated 10.02.2026 (Annexure P-4) for the said purpose bringing to the notice of the official respondent the grievances of the people of such areas. 2. Keeping in view the fact that representation in this regard has just been moved, we are of the considered opinion that firstly the concerned official shall take a decision, as such, on the said representation, so that, the factual matrix comes forward regarding the ambit and scope of the scheme and also as to whether the scheme has been equally distributed all over the State keeping in view the prayer made by the petitioner. 3. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to take a decision on the said representation within a period of four weeks from today.
