COMMON ORDER :
These Writ Petitions are filed declaring the action of Respondents in not considering the case of the Petitioners working as Hostel Welfare Officers (Grade-II) to the promotional post of Hostel Welfare Officers (Grade-I). 2. Petitioners were appointed as Hostel Welfare Officers Grade- II. This Court taking note of the anomaly in the A.P.Backward Classes Welfare Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 with regard to promotion to the cadre of Hostel Welfare Officers Grade-I, passed interim order not to effect promotions pending further orders on
06.10.2025. 3. Today, learned counsel for the Petitioners, Sri G.Arun Showri, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-II and Sri P.R.K.Amaredndra Kumar submit that during the pendency of the writ petition, State Government issued G.O.Ms.No.9 Backward Classes Welfare (A) Department, dated 16.07.2026 making amendments to the A.P.Backward Classes Welfare Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 providing/clarifying the channel of promotions. 16
4. Sri D.Vamsi Krishna, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-II, would submits that further action will be taken in terms of G.O.Ms.No.9, dated 16.07.2026. 5. In view of the submission of learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, the grievance of the Petitioners is redressed and the Respondents shall take further steps in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.9, dated 16.07.2026. 6. With the above observation, the writ petitions are disposed of. No order as to costs.
