Page No.# 2/2 This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 for granting of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in connection with Special NDPS Case No. 12/2025 (arising out of South Salmara P.S. Case No. 200/2024 under Section 20(a)(b)(B)(C) of the NDPS Act. An FIR was filed on 01.12.2024 alleging that after receipt of some secret information about cultivation of cannabis on a large plot of land at village- Kanaimara Pt-I owned by one Lal Miah, the police team proceeded to the aforesaid place and apprehended aforesaid Lal Miah and on being searched it was found that land measuring 4 Bighas, 4 Kathas and 5 Lechas was used to cultivate suspected cannabis. It was also alleged that on search of the house of aforesaid Lal Miah the police team recovered 2276 grams of suspected processed cannabis wrapped in polythene bags. During the interrogation of Lal Miah revealed that, infact, his son, the present accused/applicant is cultivating the cannabis and selling the processed ganja. On receipt of the FIR, the police registered South Salmara P.S. Case No. 200/2024 under the aforementioned sections. After investigation the police filed the charge-sheet vide C.S. No. 25/2025 dated 31.03.2025. Since the charge-sheet in the instant matter is already filed, the instant application is closed with the liberty to the accused/applicant to appear before the Court of learned Special Judge, NDPS, South Salmara-Mankachar for appropriate relief.
