With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 3. Both the petitioners herein, having served as ‘Drivers’ in the respondent Corporation, retired from service on 31.03.2025 and 31.05.2025 respectively, and their terminal benefits have not been calculated based on the basic pay and Dearness Allowance at the rate of 55% vide G.O.(Ms) No.99, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28.04.2025. As the terminal benefits of the petitioners have not been calculated, the petitioners approached this Court by filing the present writ petition to recalculate the terminal benefits of the petitioners by duly applying 55% of the Dearness Allowance and to pay the same together with interest at the rate of 10%. 4. M/s.S.Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, submits that the petitioners herein are entitled to the enhanced Dearness Allowance in terms of the said Government Order vide G.O.(Ms) No.99, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28.04.2025, and the eligible amounts are to be disbursed to the petitioners with interest at the rate of 6% per annum. 5. In the light of the above, this Court does not see any reason to interfere with the matter. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of directing the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 31711 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 respondents to recalculate the terminal benefits of the petitioners by applying the Dearness Allowance at the rate of 55% and disburse the eligible amounts payable to the petitioners together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
