Since common questions of facts and law are involved in these petitions, therefore, these are being heard and decided together. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, facts of WPSS No. 827 of 2026, alone are being considered and discussed. 4. Petitioners were initially engaged as daily wager in State Public Works Department and thereafter they were appointed in work charge establishment. Their services were ultimately regularised in Public Works Department between the years 2011 to 2016. Since the services rendered by petitioners in work charge establishment is not being taken into account for the purpose of pension & gratuity, therefore, petitioners’ have approached this Court seeking a direction to release the pay, gratuity, pension & other dues, after adding the services rendered by them in work charge establishment to regular service. 2026:UHC:4285 5. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have made representation(s) from time to time, however, no decision is being taken thereupon. He thus submits that petitioners be permitted to make fresh representation(s) to the Competent Authority, who may be asked to take decision thereupon. 6. Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in terms of prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners. 7. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of with liberty to petitioners to file separate representation(s) to the Competent Authority for adding their services rendered in work charge establishment. If they make such representation(s) within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken by the Competent Authority within two months thereafter.
