After notice, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for HR & CE Department, on instructions, submits that the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.05.2026, to spare them from evicting and to recognise them as tenants as per the terms and conditions permissible under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act ant the Rules thereunder is under consideration and necessary orders will be passed thereon by the second respondent – Commissioner, HR & CE Department. 2. Taking into consideration that the petitioners have agreed to pay rent fixed by HR & CE Department and also that they will not claim any right over the superstructure constructed on the temple land, we are of the view that HR & CE Department shall take appropriate decision and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.05.2026, regarding fixation of rent and https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 31799 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 charges for use and occupation, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3.
