(2) Petitioner was appointed on daily wages for discharging duties as Group D employee in Nagar Palika Parishad, Mussoorie in the year 2010. According to petitioner, even though he is serving continuously as daily wager to the satisfaction of all concerned, however he is being paid wages depending on the number of days he is serving and his claim for minimum of pay scale has not been considered so far. Another grievance raised by the petitioner is that his claim for regularisation is also not being considered. (3) Learned Counsel for the petitioner relies upon a judgment rendered by this Court in WPSS No. 1593 of 2025 and other connected petitions. He submits that this writ petition can be decided in terms of the said judgment. (4) Learned Counsel for the Nagar Palika Parishad, though concedes that the issue involved in those writ petitions is similar to the one involved here, however submits that petitioner is not entitled to minimum of pay scale, therefore this Court may not direct for grant of minimum of pay scale. He further points out that petitioner has not staked claim for regularisation of his service. (5) Learned Counsel for the petitioner, 2026:UHC:4198 however, submits that in WPSS No. 1593 of 2025, this Court had directed the Nagar Palika Parishad, Mussoorie to pay minimum of pay scale till decision is taken on the representation submitted by the petitioners. He submits that petitioner is entitled to similar relief. (6) Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, writ petition is disposed of in terms of the judgment rendered in WPSS No. 1593 of 2025. Petitioner shall be at liberty to make representation to the Executive Officer within one week from today. If fresh representation is made within two weeks from today, the same shall be decided, as per law, within six weeks thereafter. For a period of eight weeks or till decision is taken on representation(s) submitted by the petitioner, he shall be paid minimum of pay scale. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 27.5.2026 Maihinder/
