2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, it is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's father died on 21.08.1966. The petitioner has therefore now applied and the local inquiry report by the Revenue Inspector, etc., has been undertaken, however, finally, the death is not yet recorded and no orders have been issued. 3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the first respondent is the authority and the first respondent will consider the same in accordance with law and pass orders. 4. Already, this Court has held that even for deaths prior to the coming into force of the current Act, the authority can issue the death certificate, provided there is ample proof and the authority is satisfied that the death happened on the particular date. In this case, by examining persons, the Revenue Inspector seems to have submitted a favourable report that the person lived at the particular address and he died on the same date and that the death was not registered on account of ignorance. 5.
In view thereof, the first respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner dated 17.09.2025 in the light of the recommendations that are given by the local field level subordinates and pass orders in accordance with https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
