1. Heard Mr. D. Ullah, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the petitioner, Hekmat Ali has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Juria P.S. Case No.23/2026 under Sections 118(2)/109/3(5) of the BNS, 2023.

3. The charge-sheet has already been filed against the petitioner. Considering that he is 75 years old, this Court is of the opinion that nothing further remains to be investigated. Therefore, the bail application is allowed.
4. The petitioner, Hekmat Ali shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagaon.
5. With the aforesaid direction, both the bail applications stands disposed of.
