WP No. 26304 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 For Petitioner: Mr. P.J.Rishikesh For Respondent: Mr.P.Srinivas, Standing Counsel ORDER The petitioner is before this Court challenging the order dated 24.06.2026 issued by the respondent, whereby a sum of Rs.1,49,00,000/- was deducted from the petitioner’s bills submitted towards payment for the work entrusted to and completed by the petitioner. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, during the pendency of the writ petition, a sum of Rs.1,12,16,960/- was deducted from the petitioner’s bills, out of the total outstanding amount of Rs.2,10,40,960/-. 3. The petitioner seeks liberty to submit a fresh representation stating that the entire work has been completed and, therefore, the petitioner is entitled to release of the balance amount without any deduction under the head “Completion Report”. 4. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of preserving liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation along with the final bills, in terms of the contract. If such representation is submitted, the respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of submission of the fresh representation. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
