The instant Special Appeals are directed against the order of learned Single Judge dated 26.02.2026, passed in a bunch of Writ Petitions, wherein order of DIG, Garhwal Region, Uttarakhand dated 14.01.2026, passed in compliance of the order of Inspector General of Police (Personnel), Uttarakhand Police Headquarters dated 14.01.2026 was under challenge. The writ petitions have been dismissed. The appellants herein are Police Constables. The learned Single Judge has held that the applicants are members of Disciplined force and they have been transferred due to administrative reasons. The contention of the appellants that there was violation of service conditions and the order was attended by malice has been repelled. 2. Learned counsel for the appellants submits that the order of transfer is punitive in nature, inasmuch as, three days before the transfer order, the petitioners were directed by the Senior Superintendant of Police, Udham Singh Nagar to report at the Lines. 3. We are unable to accept the submission as we find no co-relation between the order dated 2 2026:UHC:4193-DB 12.01.2026, passed by the S.S.P., Udham Singh Nagar directing the appellant to report at the Lines and the order of transfer passed by the I.G. (Personnel) Uttarakhand. Moreover, the order of I.G. (Personnel), Uttarakhand dated 14.01.2026 was neither filed along with the writ petition nor was challenged. Only the consequential order passed by D.I.G., Garhwal Region, Uttarakhand in pursuance of order of I.G. (Personnel) Uttarakhand dated 14.01.2026 was challenged. Undoubtedly, the appellants are member of Disciplined Force and the transfer was made in exigencies of service for administrative reasons. The learned Single Judge has therefore rightly declined to interfere with the order of transfer. The appeals lack merit and are accordingly dismissed. 4.
