28.01.2026 Court No.28 Item No.18 tbsr Reject CRM (A) 4351 of 2025 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Farakka P.S. Case No.267 of 2025 dated 07.07.2025 under Sections 126(2)/118(2)/109/351(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. And In the matter of: Ramjan Hossain @ Ramjan Ali ….Petitioner. Mr. Tapodip Gupta Mr. Suman Bhanja ….for the petitioner Ms. Sukanya Bhattacharya Md. Y. A. Ismail ….for the State Heard the learned counsels for the parties. Perused the case diary. It appears from the injury report that the victim suffered a muscle deep injury over the lower part of the back, an incised type wound over the spinal area and a muscle deep injury over the occipital region. The petitioner’s name has been taken as the principal assailant by the victim and other witnesses. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
