The applicant/claimant, namely, Lal Bhanu Bibi is personally present before the Lok Adalat, along with her engaged counsel Mr. M. Talukdar. The insurance company is represented by Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Deputy Manager of the company. The claimant was originally awarded an amount of Rs. 13,19,600/- along with an interest @ 7 % per annum by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Dhubri. Now both the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement to pay an additional amount of Rs. 1,50,000/- to the claimant/ applicant. The original awarded amount along with the interest has Page No.# 3/3 already been paid to the claimant. Now in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the insurance company shall deposit an additional amount of Rs. 1,50,000/- before the Registry of this court within a period of 45 days from the date of this order.
