Barooah, learned counsel appearing for the applicant. By way of this application, the applicant is seeking impleadment of the present incumbent to the post of Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) on the ground that his predecessor, who has been arrayed as contemnor No. 1, has in the meantime already been replaced. It is pertinent that when the matter was last posted before this Court on 12.03.2026, upon being informed by the learned state counsel that there had been a change in the incumbent to the post of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Collector, Kamrup (M), Guwahati, the matter was adjourned to enable the learned counsel for the petitioner to take necessary steps for bringing on record the present incumbent to the said post as an arrayed respondent/contemnor in the contempt petition. It appears that the instant interlocutory application has accordingly been filed to bring on record the present incumbent to the said post, namely- Shri Swapneel Paul, IAS, District Commissioner, Office at: District Commissioner Office, Page No.# 3/3 Lichubagan, Hengrabari, Guwahati-781036. Accordingly, Mr. Swapneel Paul, IAS, is impleaded as contemnor/respondent No. 2 in the present contempt petition. Hence, the interlocutory application stands allowed and disposed of.
