[2] The State-respondents have entered their appearance through learned Addl. G.A., Mr. Mangal Debbarma who accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 to 12, and Mr. Agniva Chakrabarti, learned counsel, also appears and accepts notice for respondent No.13. [3] The petitioners were initially appointed as School Mothers on different dates during the year 1990 to 2009 on a fixed pay basis, and their services were regularized later on and they all went on retirement subsequently in due course of time. The relevant date of their joining as School Mothers on fixed basis, dates of their regularization and retirement are mentioned herein below in a pictorial chart: Sl. Ava Datta (Paul) 29.11.1999 29.11.2009 31.10.2020 [4] Now, it is the grievance of the petitioners that after they went on superannuation, while computing their pensionary benefits, their services rendered on fixed pay basis were not taken into account. In this regard, petitioner Smt. Sandhya Rani Ghosh (Som) sent an advocate’s notice on 29.01.2026 (Annexure-32 to the writ petition). Petitioner Smt. Dipali Chakraborty sent such advocate’s notice on 10.02.2026, and thereafter petitioner Smt. Ava Datta (Paul) sent an advocate’s notice on 17.02.2026 seeking similar benefits. However, according to the learned counsel of the petitioners, no such representations have been disposed of by the respondents till date. Regarding the other petitioners, learned counsel submits that liberty may be granted to these petitioners to submit representations to the respondents claiming similar benefits. Learned counsel further submits that the writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of these representations in a time- bound manner. [5] Learned counsel of the respondents submits that they have no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in the similar line by giving time- bound direction to the respondents to dispose of those representations in accordance with law. [6] In view of the above submissions, the writ petition is disposed of at this motion stage with a direction to the State-respondents to dispose of the advocate notices served upon them by petitioner Nos.1, 10 & 11 within 4(four) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order with a reasoned decision. Similarly, the other petitioners who did not submit representations earlier are also given liberty to submit their representations, if any, within 7(seven) days from today to the said respondents. If such representations are submitted by these petitioners, the same will also be disposed of by the State-respondents within 4(four) weeks, as stated above. The respondents will communicate their decision to the petitioners accordingly thereafter without delay. If further grievances still persist, liberty will be there to the petitioners to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law. [7] With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
