Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record. 2. It is contended on behalf of the petitioners that on their land unauthorized construction is being carried out by the private respondents. Petitioners pray for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take necessary steps and to prevent such construction. 3. State respondents and private respondents are represented by learned advocates who have opposed this writ petition. 4. Taking note of the submission made on behalf of the petitioners, it appears that petitioners are aggrieved by the alleged construction carried out by the private respondents. [2] 5. Petitioners need to approach the concerned Panchayat authorities lodging objection against the private respondents who are making the alleged construction. Police authority is not the appropriate authority to decide the nature of the construction which is being carried out by the private respondents. 6. However, police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the place in question and keep vigil. 7. Writ petition stands disposed of. 8.
