CRL OP No. 20299 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 No.219 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner snatched gold chains from two victims. Hence the case. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been remanded in judicial custody on 08.01.2025 in theft of 6 sovereigns of gold chain, wherein 3 sovereigns of gold were recovered. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioner. 4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent Police reiterated the prosecution case and strongly opposed the bail application on the ground that there are about 28 previous cases against this petitioner spread over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana. 5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case; taking note of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side); it is evident that the petitioner is an interstate offender. As rightly contended by him, if the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

Such submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is fortified by the criminal antecedents of this petitioner. Hence, this Court is of the firm view that it is not desirable to enlarge the petitioner on bail. 7.
Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 29-07-2026 SHL To:
