JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the Assistant Director of Land Records assigning new Sy.No.293 to old Sy.No.221 as found at Annexure-C and the Revision Settlement Akarbandh extract at Annexure-D reflecting the same, nevertheless respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Hassan Taluk has not assigned new number in the revenue records and in the RTC. Therefore, the petitioner gave a representation at Annexure-H dated 26.02.2026 requesting the Tahsildar to assign new Sy.No.293 to the land belonging to the petitioner. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:17238 WP No. 7895 of 2026 2. Learned Additional Government Advocate was directed to secure instructions from the respondent- Tahsildar, Hasan Taluk as to why new number is not reflected in the RTC. Today, the learned Additional Government Advocate submits on instructions that new survey number will be assigned and the same will be reflected in the RTC within a period of three weeks from today. 3. Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Government Advocate, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to the respondent- Tahsildar, Hassan Taluk to ensure that the new number is assigned to the lands belonging to petitioner and the same is reflected in the RTC as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three weeks from today.
