p. 1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK Tuktuki Mondal (In BLAPL No.1114 of 2026) Sadhana Mondal (In BLAPL No.1115 of 2026) Saraswati Roy (In BLAPL No. 1116 of 2026) … Petitioners Mr. A.R. Panda, Advocate (In both these BLAPLs) -versus- State of Odisha … Opposite Party Mr. M.R. Patra, Addl. PP CORAM:JUSTICE G. SATAPATHY Order No. ORDER(ORAL)17.03.2026 01. 1. Since these three bail applications arise out of one and same case record, the same are heard together and disposed of by this common order with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties. 2. These are bail applications U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioners for grant of bail in connection with EI & EB Unit- II Cuttack PR No. 457 of 2025-26 corresponding to 2(a)CC Case No.132 of 2025 pending in the file of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Cuttack, for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of NDPS Act, on the main allegation of possessing 27Kgs of Contraband Ganja. 3. Heard, Mr. Amulya Ratna Panda, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. M.R. Patra, learned Addl. PP in these matters and perused the record. 4. Admittedly, the petitioners are in custody since 29.11.2025, but in the meantime, PR has already been submitted, however, the petitioner-Saraswati Roy has been p. 2 granted liberty to renew her prayer for bail before the learned trial Court after submission of PR or if the PR is not submitted within three months w.e.f. 22.12.2025. Right now, there is no immediate prospect of trial. In such view of the matter and taking into consideration the materials placed on record, the petitioners would be considered to have satisfied the conditions of Section 37 of NDPS Act. 5. For the reasons stated hereinabove and taking into account the custodial period of the petitioners and the status of the petitioners as ladies and applying the first proviso appended to Sec.480 of BNSS, this Court without expressing any view on merit admits each of the petitioners to bail. 6. Hence, these three bail applications of the petitioners namely Tuktuki Mondal (BLAPL No. 1114 of 2026), Sadhana Mondal (BLAPL No. 1115 of 2026) and Saraswati Roy (BLAPL No. 1116 of 2026) stand allowed and the petitioners are allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) each with two solvent sureties for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Court in seisin of the case on such terms and conditions as deem fit and proper by it. 7. Accordingly, these BLAPLs stand disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy of the order as per Rules. A soft copy of this order be immediately communicated to the concerned Court, who shall afterwards communicate the same to the concerned Jail through e-mail for reference. (G.
