BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH MAZUMDAR ORDER 18.05.2026 Heard Mr. S.S.A. Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mrs. S. Baruah, learned CGC for the NF Railway. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to
Page No.# 3/4 the affidavit filed by the step-daughter, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner is the lawfully wedded wife of her deceased father. 3. In the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion, to which the learned counsel appearing for the contesting parties have also consented, that the petitioner along with the other family members of late Naren Chandra Das shall appear before the respondent no. 3, i.e., the Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (F.A. & C.A.O.), NF Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam. 4. Upon such appearance, they shall produce all necessary documents and proof to establish their relationship inter se and also their relationship with the deceased employee of NF Railway, namely late Naren Chandra Das. 5. Mr.
S.S.A. Raman, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that instead of a report being furnished to this Court, the respondent authorities may be directed to take an appropriate decision based on the documents to be filed before them. The learned counsel for the respondents has not raised any objection to the same. 6. Accordingly, the petitioner along with other family members of the deceased employee, Late Naren Chandra Das, shall be at liberty to appear before respondent no. 3 along with all supporting documents in support of their claim. Page No.# 4/4 Thereafter, the respondents shall consider the representation and the evidence so placed before them and convey their decision within a period of four months from the date of appearance of the petitioner before respondent no. 3. 7.
