D/L- 22 04/02/2026 Ct. No.-19 Aritra WPA 29981 of 2025 Rina Ruidas Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Sayan Sinha Mr. Nilanjan Bhattacharya ….for the petitioner Mr. Arjun Roy Mukherjee Ms. Molly Saha ….for the State Mr. Gour Baran Sau ….for the respondent Nos.4 & 5 The petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondent authorities to dispose of the Case No.368 dated September 27, 2022 for recording the name of the petitioner in the Record of Rights. After going through the averments made in the writ petition, this Court finds that the petitioner has alleged inaction on the part of the authorities under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, which is a specified Act under Section 2(r) of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal Act, 1997. In view of the alternative and efficacious remedy available under the 1997 Act, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Faced with such situation, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays leave to withdraw this 2 writ petition with liberty to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law. In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the petitioner, WPA 29981 of 2025 stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law. There will be no order as to costs. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
