W.P.(MD) No.21659 of 2026 O R D E R Mr.H.Arumugam, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondent. 2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent. 4. The case of the petitioner herein is that he has been working as Bartender in TASMAC Shop No.5456, situated at Chittampatti, Madurai District, since the year 2004 and he is going to complete the age of 58 years by 14.08.2026 and hence, the petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated 10.07.2026 to the respondent seeking extension of his service till he completes the age of 60 years taking into consideration the fact that the Government has enhanced the age of superannuation of the government servants upto 60 years. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the respondent would consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law. 6. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
