W.P.Crl.(MD)No.4254 & 4273 of 2026 connection with “Thiru Vizha” of Sri Vinayagar, Sri Mariyamman, Sri Mayamperumal Temple situated at Ponnambalapatti Village, Vaiyampatti, Manaparai Taluk, Trichy District. 3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent Tahsildar submitted that the Tahsildar had already convened a peace committee meeting on 25.07.2026. However, as no amicable resolution could be arrived at between the rival parties, they were advised to work out their respective remedies before the competent civil court. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. 5. Both the parties appeared before this Court and submitted that they are willing to extend mutual cooperation to ensure the peaceful conduct of the aforesaid temple festival. Recording the said submission, the petitioner in W.P. (Crl.)(MD)No.4273 of 2026 is permitted to conduct the aforesaid temple festival from 02.08.2026 to 05.08.2026.

It is, however, made clear that all the villagers, including the petitioner in the connected writ petition and members of every faction, shall be permitted to participate in the temple festival and that no person shall be excluded or excommunicated on any ground. The Temple Administrative Committee shall receive the temple tax from all factions without any discrimination. The respondent police shall afford adequate police protection for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the temple festival and ensure that the above directions are implemented in letter and spirit. 7.
