With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 4. While the petitioner was working as Account Supervisor in the respondent – Electricy Board, he was subjected to disciplinary proceedings resulting in imposition of a punishment of dismissal from service vide proceedings dated 13.10.2025. Aggrieved by the said punishment of dismissal from service, the petitioner claims to have filed an appeal, in terms of the Regulations of the respondent – Electricity Board as early as on 05.12.2025. But, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, so far, no action has been taken by the respondents on the appeal filed by the petitioner. Mr.S.Arivalagan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be disposed of by the respondents in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. 6. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the appeal dated 05.12.2025 filed by the petitioner against the proceedings dated 13.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
