ORDER
The petitioner is accused No.1 in SplSC.No.32 of 2020 on the file of the Principal Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Sivagangai. By judgment dated 02.04.2026, the petitioner was found guilty, convicted and sentenced to undergo 5 years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs.5,000 and in default to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 7 r/w 8 of the POCSO Act and sentenced to undergo 7 years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 9(n) r/w 10 of the POCSO Act. Challenging the judgment of conviction and sentence, the petitioner has filed an appeal before this Court in Crl.A(MD)No.542 of 2026 and the same was admitted by this Court.
