GP FOR SERVICES I 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BALAJI MEDAMALLI WRIT PETITION NO: 24385/2024 ORDER: This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the 2nd respondent in not conducting the interviews in respect of the Recruitment Notification dated 05.11.2022 for the post of Staff Assistant/ Clerks in the District Co-Operative Central Bank Limited. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Co-operation. 3. The respondent/ Bank has furnished written instructions stating that, on 22.03.2023, the District Co-Operative Officer, Eluru, informed that an adverse news item was published in the newspapers regarding the issue of service certificates in the recruitment of in-service candidates in the District Cooperative Central Bank Limited, Eluru. The District Co-Operative Officer further informed that the District Collector, Eluru had directed the District Co- operative Officer to submit a detailed report on the said adverse news item. In this regard, the District Co-operative Officer called upon the Bank to furnish the list of eligible in-service candidates shortlisted for the said recruitment in the Bank, so as to enable the District Co-operative Officer, Eluru to verify the candidate’s service certificates and to send a detailed report to the District Collector, Eluru. In this connection, the District Co-operative Officer had 4 directed the Bank not to conduct the interviews, till the verification of certificates was approved by the District Collector. 4. The learned Assistant Government Pleader submitted that the District Co-operative Officer, Eluru had submitted the report to the District Collector, and the same is now pending for approval of the District Collector. It is further submitted that the approval process by the District Collector would be completed within a period of two weeks. 5. Recording the above submission, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the District Collector, Eluru, to complete the approval process within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the respondent authorities are directed to proceed with and complete the selection process pursuant to the notification dated 05.11.2022 within a further period of four weeks. The Registry is directed to communicate this order to the District Collector, Eluru also.
