dated 10.03.2023 confirming the judgment passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate (Fast Track) No.1, Nagercoil in C.C.No.28 of 2012, dated
23.12.2014. 2. The learned Judicial Magistrate (Fast Track) No.1, Nagercoil, has convicted the revision petitioner and sentenced him to undergo six months Simple Imprisonment for the offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act and directed to pay a compensation of Rs.3,52,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs and Fifty Two Thousand only) under Section 357(3) of Cr.P.C, in default to undergo one month Simple Imprisonment and the same was confirmed by the Additional District and Sessions Judge, (Fast Track Court), Kanniyakumari at Nagercoil. Aggrieved by the same, the present Criminal Revision Case has been filed before this Court. 3. Both parties are present today. On negotiation, both parties are agreed to resolve the dispute and accordingly, the defacto complainant agreed to compound the offence on receipt of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs only) from the petitioner/accused, as full quit. Seventy Six Thousand Rupees only) has already been deposited before the Trial Court and the same is also permitted to be withdrawn by the defacto complainant.
It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that today, the petitioner is paying a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) in cash and remaining amount of Rs.24,000/- will be deposited by the petitioner on or before 05.08.2026 to the credit of the account of the defacto complainant/P.Rajagopal in Account No.31482270591, IFSC Code: SBIN0014360 at SBI Mahendragiri Branch, Tirunelveli District
4. Since the petitioner/accused has been convicted in this case, the matter shall be posted before the regular Court for setting aside the conviction and sentence passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, (Fast Track Court), Kanniyakumari at Nagercoil after

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement. The full Court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamilnadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 21 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994. The Original of the award shall be place in the court record and copy of the award, kept with High Court Legal Services Committee and one copy each is furnished to both parties free of cost.
