The writ petition had been filed to shift the TASMAC shop No. 6634 situated at Embal Village, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukottai District. 2. Even in the previous hearing date, ie., 20.07.2026, we have recorded that the first respondent had taken a policy decision to shift the shop by proceedings dated 14.05.2024 in Na.Ka.No.A6/555/2024. Today, the learned standing counsel for the first respondent had produced a communication/proceedings dated 27.07.2026 in Na.Ka.No.A6/0375/2026, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD)No.20529 of 2026 wherein, the District Manager, TASMAC at Pudukottai had issued orders to temporarily close the TASMAC shop No.6634. 3. The learned counsel pointed out that the order only states that temporarily closure of the shop, but, however, the order further states that the shop had been directed to be shifted to an alternate place. It is informed by the learned counsel that earlier this morning, the shop had been actually closed. 4. Recording the above submission that the shop would be shifted to some other place, the writ petition stands closed. We appreciate the stand taken by the petitioner for this public cause. No costs.
