This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(1) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing the respondent No. 3 i.e. Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Kanpur Nagar to decide the Land Reference Case No. 238 of 2024, pending before the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority, Kanpur Nagar (Pratik Shukla Versus State and others) within the time framed as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court." 2. It is contended that the land of the petitioner was acquired and an award was made. On an application, the matter was referred to the Court of Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority (LARRA). The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for deciding the Reference Case No.238 of 2024, expeditiously. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, or calling for counter affidavit, the writ petition is being disposed of with a direction upon Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority to decide the Reference Case No.238 of 2024, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
