CRL OP No. 19522 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 5 2.The prosecution's case is that while the defacto complainant’s minor daughter (aged 17) was studying in school, she got acquainted with Sujith, the son of the petitioners (the second petitioner being her school teacher). Although the petitioners initially promised to restrain their son, Sujith continued to stalk, disturb, and threaten the victim over the phone and in person. A perusal of the FIR reveals that the petitioners' son and the deceased were in a relationship. It appears that due to a subsequent misunderstanding between them, the deceased died by suicide. Hence, he prays for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the investigation in this case is still pending. However, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 5.Though there is a reference to the petitioners in the FIR, a perusal of the record reveals that this Court cannot find any specific overt act of abetment of suicide attributed to them.
