Sub Appl.No.808 of 2026 in Cont.P.No.2377 of 2024
3. While disposing of the writ petition, this Court did not pass any orders in view of the fact that notice under the provisions of Section 128(1)(b) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998 was already issued to respondent No.4, who was supposed to reply to the same. It is brought to the notice of this Court that respondent No.4 had challenged the said notice in W.P.No.34933 of 2024 and, this Court, vide order dated 20.11.2024 by way of an interim measure, had
directed that the parties should maintain status-quo as on the said date until there is listing and further orders.
4. In view of the above, we do not find any ground to allow the sub application to re-open the contempt petition, which was closed on
05.11.2024. Accordingly, the sub application is dismissed.
