JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 15.05.2026 Heard Mr. AY Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant and Ms. S Baruah, learned Government Advocate for the State. This interlocutory application has been filed seeking correction of the name of the writ petitioner’s late husband in the cause title of W.P(C) No. 1643/2026 as also the order dated 04.05.2026 passed in the said writ petition by which the writ petition came to be disposed of. The learned counsel for the applicant has enclosed a copy of the AADHAAR Card showing the correct name of her late husband of the applicant. The name of the late husband of the applicant as reflected in the AADHAAR Card bearing No. 2588 4173 2229 is shown to be “Soif Uddin Barbhuiya”. It is submitted that by oversight, the name of the late husband of the petitioner was recorded as Sorif Uddin Barbhuiya. The respondents do not object to the prayer made. Considering the submissions made and the documents which were placed before the Court in the interlocutory Application, this I.A stands allowed and Page No.# 4/4 disposed of. The name of the late husband of the applicant should be read as “Late Soif Uddin Barbhuiya”, resident of Village: Vichingcha, P.O. Vichingcha, District: Hailakandi, Assam, PIN-788151 instead of “Sorif Uddin Barbhuiya”. Let this correction be incorporated by the Registry upon filing of a amended cause title by the writ petitioner. Upon such receipt of the amended cause title showing the correct name of the late husband of the petitioner/applicant, the Registry will make necessary correction and issue fresh certified copies of the order. The correction be also incorporated in the particulars reflected in the order dated 04.05.2026 passed in W.P(C) No. 1643/2026. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
