2026:MHC:3188 HCP No. 1341 of 2026 __________ ORDER (Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) The mother of M.Sivadharshini/detenue (date of birth 16.12.2007) has instituted this Habeas Corpus Petition contending that the detenue has been missing since 29.06.2026. The detenue left to go to college where she is studying II year Engineering course, but was missing from the aforesaid date. 2.The parents filed a complaint before R2/Voimedu Police Station, which was registered as Cr.No.135 of 2026. 3.We had directed the authorities to do needful to secure the detenue and today the detenue is produced. 4.The petitioner and her husband are present in Court. 5.According to Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side), the detenue has reported that she is in a relationship with a gentleman and they are living in a rented house in Bhavani. 6.The detenue has attained majority, her date of birth being 16.12.2007. We do not find anything to indicate that she has been illegally detained. Rather, and on the contrary, she would aver that she had left her parental home voluntarily to live with the gentleman of her choice.
