3. Petitioner has challenged
order dated 29.04.2026, passed by Director, Technical Education. By the said order, petitioner has been attached at Government Polytechnic, Badkhet, Block Rikhnikhal, District Pauri Garhwal till further orders or till regular appointment on the post of Workshop Instructor.

Petitioner contends that he was transferred from Government Polytechnic, Kwansi (Chakrata), Dehradun to Government Polytechnic, Haridwar only in January, 2022 and he has again been transferred under the garb of attachment to Pauri Garhwal. It is further contended that petitioner’s transfer from Dehradun to Haridwar was made on the ground of illness of his wife under Section 27 of the Transfer Act, therefore, his transfer to Pauri is bad.
5. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that a new polytechnic has been established at Badkhet, Block Rikhnikhal, District Pauri Garhwal, therefore, petitioner has been asked to establish workshop in the said polytechnic. He submits that petitioner’s attachment is
2026:UHC:3920 till further orders or till regular appointment on the post of Workshop Instructor is made at Badkhet. He submits that petitioner’s attachment is made strictly in public interest, in order to make new Government Polytechnic at Badkhet functional.

Learned counsel for the petitioner then submits that petitioner has made a representation against his attachment to the Director, which is on record as Annexure-7 to the writ petition. He confines his prayer and submits that the Director be asked to take decision on the representation.
7. The writ petition is, accordingly,
disposed of with a direction to Director to take decision on the representation made by petitioner, as per law, within three weeks. For a period of three weeks or till decision is taken on the representation, whichever is earlier, status quo as regards petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
