The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had submitted a representation seeking police protection for his life and limb, as well as for his handmade bricks, in view of the apprehended threat posed by the proposed accused. Since there was no progress on the same, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition. 3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that on receipt of the petitioner's representation, CSR No.327 of 2026 was issued on 13.06.2026 and that the enquiry is pending. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the third respondent police is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2026 and conduct an enquiry in this regard, after issuing summons to the parties concerned, under Section 64 of the BNSS, and conclude the same, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Upon conclusion of the enquiry, if it is found necessary that the petitioner be provided with adequate protection, the third respondent police shall afford appropriate police protection to the petitioner, subject to payment of the requisite charges, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019. 7.
