The applicant/claimant, namely, Habez Ali @ Habas Ali is personally present before the Lok Adalat, along with her engaged counsel Mr. M. Talukdar. It appears that originally the MACT, Dhubri had awarded a compensation amount of Rs. 4,80,500/- along with an interest @ 7% per annum to the claimant. Now the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement to pay an additional amount of Rs. 2,80,000/- to the claimant/ applicant by the insurance company. The insurance company shall deposit an additional amount of Rs. 2,80,000/- before the Registry of this court within a period of 45 days from the date of this order.
