Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) accepts notice for the respondents. 2.The case of the petitioner, wife of the detenu, one Damodaran S/o Gnanasekar. is that the detenu was found missing from 18.04.2025 onwards. A perusal of the affidavit does not indicate the petitioner’s apprehension that the detenu is in illegal detention. The sum and substance of the affidavit is that he had borrowed various amounts and was hard pressed to return the same. A complaint had been filed on 22.04.2025 by the petitioner and F.I.R. registered in Cr.No.94 of 2025. She is aggrieved by the fact that he has not been secured thus far. 3.In light of the admitted position that the detenu is not in illegal detention, this not being the case of the petitioner, we do not see the necessity to entertain this Habeas Corpus Petition. Needless to say, the police shall make all efforts to trace the detenu, and secure him, and there is a direction to the respondents to do the needful in this regard, as expeditiously as possible. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
