ORDER:
The Contempt Case has been preferred alleging violation of the final Orders, dated 07.02.2025, passed in W.P.No.4149 of 2021, the Writ Court, while allowing the Writ Petition, issued the following directions:-
“Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed. The impugned proceedings vide No.5544/CS1/2020, dated 30.11.2020, issued by the 1st respondent is hereby set aside. Further, the respondents are directed to prepare a fresh final seniority list of Deputy Executive Engineers in terms of Rules 33, 33(b) and Rule 34 of A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules, in accordance with law, within a period of four (04) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
2. The said Order eventually came to be challenged by way of Writ Appeal No.493 of 2026, before this Court. The Division Bench, while setting

aside the direction issued in Paragraph No.11 of the order in the Writ Petition, has modified the relief in the following terms:-
“Considering the submissions made by the appellants and the implead petitioners, the impugned orders in W.P.No.4149 of 2021 at paragraph No.11 are set aside with a further direction to respondents to complete the promotions as per the integrated seniority list date
30.11.2020. However, as contended by the petitioners in the Writ Petition, let the authority may first finalize the zonal seniority list in terms of Rule 33 Proviso to 33(b) of the Rules after that if any requirement of modification of integrated seniority list is required, let a separate proceedings may initiate by issuing notices to the affected persons in accordance with Rule 34 of the Rules. It is needless to say that the authorities may affect promotions without reference to the memo dated 25.06.2026.”
3. Heard Sri T.S.N. Sudhakar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Sri G. Raju, learned counsel appearing for the respondent.
4. Sri T.S.N. Sudhakar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners state that, in view of the Judgment dated 06.07.2026, in Writ Appeal No.493 of 2026, modifying the directions issued in Writ Petition, no purpose would survive in the present Contempt Case.
5. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed.
As a sequel, all pending applications shall stand closed.
