ORDER By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned letter dated 02.07.2026 in Ref. No.3759/TPR/LTR/1 on the file of the first respondent and consequently directing the respondent to release the pledged two gold chains weighing 17.500 grams and two gold chains weighing 31.500 grams belonging to the petitioner's mother.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that with regard to the jewellery belonging to the petitioner's mother, petitioner is ready and willing to pay the outstanding dues. The Petitioner’s only request is that on payment of the outstanding dues, the jewellery belonging to his mother may be released.
Learned counsel would further submit that the respondent may be directed to intimate the exact amount payable with regard to the jewellery belonging to the petitioner's mother.
4. Learned counsel for the respondent Bank would submit that the outstanding dues payable with regard to the jewellery belonging to the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
WP No. 28752 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 petitioner's mother shall be intimated to the petitioner and on payment of the dues so intimated, the respondent Bank will release the jewellery within a time period stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondent Bank to intimate the outstanding dues payable with regard to the jewellery belonging to the petitioner's mother. On payment of the dues so intimated by the petitioner, the respondent Bank shall release the jewellery in accordance with law. The above exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of web copy of this order, without waiting for receipt of a certified copy thereof.
