Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to consider the representation of petitioner dated 20/01/2024 for appointment vide Annexure-F; 2. Issue a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the resolution dated 12/03/2024 passed by respondent No.5 vide Annexure-G; 3. Grant any other relief which this Hon’ble court may deem fit in the interests of justice and equity.” 2. The grievance of the petitioner arises out of the appointment process initiated pursuant to the notification dated 18.02.2020 (Annexure-A) and also the subsequent resolution dated 12.03.2024 and sought consideration of his representation for appointment. 3. During pendency of writ petition, respondent Nos.2 to 4 have filed a memo along with documents - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC-D:2144 WP No. 104655 of 2024 producing the proclamation dated 08.08.2025, whereby the original notification dated 18.02.2020 has been withdrawn. 4. The said memo is taken on record. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the fact that the notification dated 18.02.2020 stands withdrawn. 6. In view of the withdrawal of the notification dated 18.02.2020, the very foundation of the petitioner’s challenge no longer survives. Accordingly, no further adjudication is required in the matter. 7. In view of the above, the writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous.
