For Petitioner : Mr.I.Robert Chandra Kumar For Respondents : Mr.M.Mahaboob Athiff counsel for State ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's revision petition dated 23.01.2026, seeking cancellation of the allegedly fraudulent Legal Heir Certificate dated 10.08.2021 issued in respect of late Alagammal, wife of Velu Thevar, and the consequential Patta Transfer Orders dated 17.11.2021 and 21.11.2021, within such time as may be fixed by this Court. 2.By consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.20817 of 2026 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already preferred a revision petition before the first respondent on 23.01.2026 seeking cancellation of the Legal Heir Certificate dated 10.08.2021, which, according to the petitioner, was obtained by fraud, as well as the consequential Patta Transfer Orders dated 17.11.2021 and 21.11.2021. It is further submitted that the said revision petition is still pending consideration before the first respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the said revision petition within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's revision petition dated 23.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.20817 of 2026 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's revision petition dated 23.01.2026, if it has not already been disposed of, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an adequate opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to all necessary and interested parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
