ORDER This Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Standing Counsel for the respondents.
2. The petitioner is before this Court for a Mandamus to direct the second respondent to register the petitioner’s Sale Deed dated 06.06.2026, in respect of the property at Survey Nos. 328/2A, 328/3A and 328/6A, Melamuthukulathur Group, Muthukulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, presented in Token No.TP/279316114/2026.
3. The learned Government Standing Counsel for the respondents, on the other hand, submits that the token has been issued. However, the petitioner has not presented the document, apprehending that the second respondent will fasten higher stamp duty liability on the guideline value of Rs.87,000/-. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. The learned Government Standing Counsel for the respondents, further, submits that if the document is presented, it will be registered and thereafter, a reference will be made under Section 47A of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, in case there is any undervaluation.
5. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to present the document before the second respondent. On such presentation, the documents shall be registered with liberty to the second respondent to make reference under Section 47A of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, in case there is any undervaluation.
